Service members have some of the most challenging jobs out there. Between rigorous training, deployments to the most dangerous parts of the world—which take them away from their families for long periods—to frequent moves every few years to new bases, the stressors of military life are many.
During Domestic Violence Month, OhanaLink Technologies is committed to changing the game against domestic violence by providing a safe, private communication and support system for agencies to better coordinate resources with victims seeking services.
As a woman-owned technology development company and a mission-based organization, OhanaLink Technologies™ has committed to developing social care mobile tools that positively impact communities. But why has OhanaLink Technologies made it its mission to tackle this challenge of introducing and improving technology in the social care space?
The United States’ first nationwide three-digit 988 mental health crisis hotline went live in July 2022. Although the hotline has existed for years, the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the need for greater access to mental health support, and now there is an easy-to-remember number.
In March 2020, as COVID-19 cases started to increase across the nation and “Stay at Home” orders began in response to stop the spread of the virus, domestic violence agencies in Western Pennsylvania were concerned that this “forced” social isolation would increase calls to crisis lines.
